About us

From that first pencil holder using a piece of  2x4 and plywood, to my wife’s hope chest, a crib used by our four children, bookshelves, kitchen island, a wall of built-in shelves and cabinets, and a new porch with arched ceiling, I’ve always enjoyed woodworking.

Now, as my plastic mold-design business disappears offshore, I look for a new direction for myself, and work for my helper, our teenage son with Down syndrome.

If I must start over, why not do what I love: working with my hands and with wood? We have abandoned the suburbs for the more affordable countryside, and prove there can still be something made in America.

My workshop consists of a table saw, drill press, router, scroll saw, thickness planer, table top belt sander, and an old jointer.

I’ve always enjoyed clocks so that is what I’ll be making first. From there I’ll move on to where the spirit moves me.

Will this plan work? I pray it does. Either way, I’m going to have fun trying.

1Th 4:11-12 Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody. NIV
